Ross Statham, President & CEO

After six years in the US Army (1975-1981), Ross got involved with networking technology, and worked for W4 Research, where he helped design some of the earliest Novell networks, including one of BellSouth’s first mission-critical networks.  Ross moved to Atlanta in 1987, and became a Regional Manager, the Business Development Manager and Director of Federal Operations for Kyocera Electronics (Kyoto, Japan) from the mid 80’s to early 90’s before joining Proteon, a pioneer in local and wide-area networking.

While at Secure Computing Corporation, he was closely affiliated with the Professional Services and software groups, working on a full range of security issues, from policy development to perimeter security to authentication, teaming with other manufacturers and integration partners, including a $21 million consulting contract that his team closed with a Fortune 10 company.  Ross decided to use his "large company" experience and contacts and founded Dogwood Management Partners, in order to bring mission-focused solutions to commercial and government clients.

Ross is a member of the Mountain View church, a member of Mensa, a private pilot, ham radio operator and occasional fly fisherman.     An Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster and District Chairman, Ross is a Scouting Silver Beaver recipient and serves on the Executive Board of the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He is the former Vice-Chairman of the Forsyth County Georgia Zoning Board and is a life member of Disabled American Veterans (he was formerly a member of the Third US Infantry, The Old Guard.)

Married to the same great lady since 1975, they have four grown children and four grandchildren.
